In 2011 the fair was organized on the basis of the Youth Center. Stands presented 45 companies from Sortavala, Pitk?ranta areas and Petrozavodsk. The gala opening was attended by representatives of the administration Sortavala municipal area. During the exhibition was organized for the participants of “round table” on which entrepreneurs discussed the brand Sortavala, the historical status of the city, the state of roads and the improvement of the city, on the transfer of the military hospital, which is now in a derelict state. The Association of travel companies are indifferent people who are professionals in their field, who are concerned about the state of the city and are ready to contribute to the improvement of life in the city.

During the day, tasting products, raffle prizes offered by firms, performances, presentations, travel companies.

In the organization of the exhibition was attended by students Sortavala college as “Tourism” and Finnish vocational school, the Nurmes. Russian and Finnish students worked in pairs in the workplace, and it helped them to learn the language and improve their professional skills.

Just visited the exhibition 500. Numerous reviews of visitors and exhibitors have concluded that such activities are interesting and useful for the city and at a meeting of the association decided to make these shows regularly. It is planned to expand the membership of the exhibitors, attract foreign partners.

In 2011, the Association together with the Finnish partners (this encompasses Risto) took part in the Programme ENPI Karelia project proposal for the development of tourism in the border areas. In 2013, the exhibition will be organized with professional exhibition equipment and information center of the work will be funded.

Also as part of the project from 23 to 26 November 2012 was organized by a group of representatives of the Association trip to Finland. Trip participants visited destinations around the lake Pielinen: Coley, Nurmes, Lieksa. Communicated with Finnish colleagues on tourism, there are new opportunities for cooperation and development of the regions.
